Time stopped in Puerto Octay. Located on the shores of Lake Llanquihue and characterized by houses and buildings from the mid-19th century, it’s a true jewel of colonial architecture. The outstanding beauty of its surroundings transforms the view of this small town into a pleasant surprise.
El Colono Museum, founded in 1984 by the Puerto Octay Corporation of Touristic Development, is a must see. A diverse collection of artifacts, photographs and machinery are displayed here, recreating the lives of the colonists and the development of the community.
